The Chief Professional Officer of the Ghana Main grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), Mister Jonathan Amoako-Baah has informed Ghanaians to roll up their particular sleeves for more intermittent strength outages, locally known as Dumsor.
Mr Amoako-Baah explained how the sporadic power outages really are a result of a number of ongoing tasks across the country.
”Ghana’s system maximum demand is close to 3 or more, 200MW with an installed capability of 5, 300MW – this means there’s enough capability to more than meet need. Some intermittent outages should be expected on the grid within the coming months due to continuing projects, ” the declaration said.
