The Volta Regional Police Command provides apprehended 21 people thought to be members of the LGBTQI in the Volta region.
Based on a press release signed from the Public Affairs Officer Sergeant Prince Dogbatse, 21 individuals were arrested for unlawful set up at the Nurses and Midwives hotel.
The people suspected to become lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex contains 16 females and five males.
The suspects are usually believed to be from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Upper East, Top West, Western, Eastern, North and the Volta regions.
“21 persons including 16 women and 5 males thought to be lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex were today 21st Might, 2021 remanded into Law enforcement custody by the Ho Routine Court for Unlawful Set up at the Nurses and Midwives Hotel, Ho”, excerpt from the statement read.
