Police within the Mamprugu/Moadugri District of the Northern East Region has imprisoned a 25-year-old farmer pertaining to allegedly hacking his three-year-old daughter to death and wounding his wife. The believe, Haruna Adam, and the wife are reported to have had a misconception over a bathing soap and the process, he reportedly selected a machete and caused wounds on the wife as well as the daughter, resulting in the loss of life of the child. He apparently bolted from the scene following the act but was pursued plus apprehended by some local community members and handed over towards the police. The incident occurred on February 20, 2022, the North East Local Police Public Relations Officer, Associate Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr Robert Anabiik Angmain mentioned, confirming the incident in order to Graphic Online. Police discovered the victims lying in the pool of blood if they responded to distress calls from your community. The suspect, based on officials, locked up the spouse and daughter in the area and subjected them to serious beatings and in the process used machete to inflict injuries on them. The deceased girl has since been smothered while the injured was getting treatment at the Walewale City and county Hospital. The suspect has already been arraigned at the Walewale Region Court and remanded in to police custody for further inspections. He is to reappear upon March 8, 2022.
