The desires for 23-year-old Abu Safianu Yahaya becoming a nurse hangs within balance after a secondary college he is had admission in order to failed to admit him right after learning that he was a good ex-convict.
According to Abu who seem to contacted Crime Check basis to help him seek entrance, he has been to three older high schools namely Amazement Senior High School, Fumbisi Senior High School as well as the Sandema Senior High School all within the Northern Region after knowing he was an ex-con.
He explained that he sitting for the BECE during their prison sentence and exceeded with aggregate 16.
Narrating his experience at the educational institutions he revealed that;
“All the schools I attempted to get admission to inquired me to go back to my previous school for a recommendation notice before they can admit myself. The Awe SHS headteacher after reading the suggestion from the Kumasi Central Jail where I wrote the BECE, told me unless We go to the Ghana Education Company head office in Accra he or she wouldn’t be in the position in order to admit me. “
He or she added that “the Fumbisi Headteacher who seemed ready to admit me said he’d get into trouble if this individual enrols me in the school”.
Speaking on why he or she was spending time in jail, he revealed that he hadd joined some bad guys in Kumasi and he obtained arrested after snatching the ladies hand bag.
This individual was sentenced to 12 years in prison right after he was found responsible but he was afterwards released after spending four yrs behind bars and the transferring of his dad as well as the family needed him to execute a ritual since they are the first male born from the father.
“I engaged in unpleasant behaviour for sometime just before my conviction. Now, I use repented. “
“The benefit of my sentence cost 6 Thousand Ghana cedis. The cash was raised by one of the uncles. I am my dad’s first male child therefore i was needed to be present to allow the family to carry out the practice, ” he added.
He or she called on the government in order to step in because he has been thinking about on commiting suicide considering that society is not ready to take him.
