Security authorities of the Korle Bu Training Hospital have arrested 2 persons for attempting to grab pints of blood on the hospital’s surgical department.
Inside a statement, the management from the hospital said the unlawful activities of the group came to the interest of its security officers on a tip-off.
A special procedure was consequently launched resulting in the arrest of the thought thieves at about 2: 00am on Saturday, May twenty two, 2021, by the security employees of the health facility.
“The activities of the group came to the interest of the security on a tip-off. They then mounted surveillance that will eventually led to the police arrest of the suspects this morning close to 2am.
“They [thieves] were arrested to the Surgical third floor if they made the attempt to grab several pints of bloodstream that had been mobilized for numerous surgical procedures, ” the hospital’s administration said in a declaration.
The suspects have been paid to the Korle Bu Law enforcement for investigations to begin.
One of the suspects was noticed wearing a laboratory coat within disguise as a health professional.
He or she was in possession of a few stolen pints of bloodstream while his other accomplice sat in a 2018-registered Daewoo Matiz outside waiting for your pet at the car park around the management block of the hospital.
Administration has therefore urged workers to be vigilant of any kind of suspicious acts at the service and “immediately alert the safety to forestall the incident of any untoward occurrences in Hospital. “
