The specialists at the Achimota school possess denied two Rastafarians entrance to enroll at at college due to their dreadlocks.
According to the college, the rules and regulations from the senior high school does not permit learners to carry dreadlocks in school therefore cannot be admitted unless or else.
Ras Aswad Nkrabeah, the father of one of the college students who has been denied entrance at the school took to interpersonal social to express concerns.
The particular frustrated father is concerned as to why the school will not allow his son enroll as they has right to his lifestyle as far as it does not breach the particular 1992 constitution of Ghana.

This morning, the school regulators of Achimota School stated that their rules do not let students with dreadlocks to become admitted. The school authorities refused two brilliant dreadlock learners from being admitted right after having been posted there with the Computer School Placement Program. My son was among the affected children and the additional student was also refused on a single grounds. We have no choice but to battle against this major human right violation.
Since a child he has every right to their culture in so far as this kind of culture do not breach the particular 1992 Constitution. He similarly deserves the right to access education and learning within his culture exactly like other cultural believers. Like a Rastafarian, I think that dreadlocks do no way cause any kind of harm which should even be considered a basis to be asserted from the school authorities.
The fundamental queries to ask is what really does our law say regarding right to one’s culture? Would you deny a child access to training based on his/her culture? Perform public school rules override the supreme law from the land?
