Bishop Obinim’s forgery case dismissed by the court

The Kaneshie District Court has released the founder and innovator of International God’s Method Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim and one other who had been facing charges of forgery.
The Court Presided more than by Her Worship Rosemond Agyiri ruled out the case following the prosecution led by Private investigator Sergent Richard Amoah informed the court that they desire to withdraw charges levelled contrary to the accused.
The court eventually struck out the case because withdrawn and discharged Obinim and Kwabena Okyere who was simply facing the charge within court for the past 11 a few months.
The trial of Daniel Obinim and Kwabena Okyere was postponed to Apr 21, 2021, due to the lack of the presiding Magistrate, Rosemond Agyiri who is said to be unwell.
Louis Yiadom Boakye that held brief for Dela Blagogee Esq. of Blagogee, Blacksword & Co. informed the court that the protection had from the very beginning managed that Bishop Obinim had been innocent and if the criminal prosecution saw it fit in order to withdraw the case, they are not in opposition to it.
Bishop Daniel Obinim, others were facing fees of forgery of record contrary to section 159(c) associated with 29, 1960 and syndication of false news.
Obinim and Kwabena Okyere had been put before the Kaneshie Justice of the peace Court in Accra plus charged with four matters of conspiracy to publish fake news, conspiracy to make other documents, publication associated with false news and forgery of documents.
