Investigative Ghanaian journalist Manasseh Glowing blue Awuni has shared their view on the day-90 word of Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo.
According to the astute reporter, Ghanaians are not against the observance of laws but rather, are usually against the selective application of laws and regulations.
Manasseh questioned why a part of parliament who opened up gunshots in midst of individuals walks free while the celebrity is now serving 90 days prison term because of a semi-nude image she posted online.
The previous Joy FM journalist in the submission quizzed whether Akuapem Poloo would have gone to prison if he was a girl of a politician.
Read beneath his full submission.
THEY ARE NOT AGAINST LAW ENFORCEMENT…
Ghanaians are not against the adjustment of laws. They are contrary to the selective application of laws.
These are against the fact that Akuapem Polo has been sentenced, but the MEGAPIXEL and Minister who required responsibility for the shooting as well as the burning of motorbikes in a voters registration centre continues to be rewarded with a substantive ministerial position.
And the police have got released the thugs who had been with her and actually terminated the guns, according to eyewitnesses.
They are against the justice program that puts Abuga Pele on trial while Clement Kofi Humado testified towards him. Abuga Pele is within jail but Mr. Humado is free from prosecution.
They may be against the imprisonment of Philip Assibit of the Goodwill Global Group for 12 many years, while the likes of Zoomlion and rLG are totally free.
These companies and their supervisors could not account for hundreds of millions associated with cedis dolled out to all of them through shady GYEEDA offers supervised by Clement Kofi Humado.
So , before you vent out your frustration and accuse those complaining of dual standards, pause and reveal:
Would Akuapem Polo have got gone to jail if the lady had been the daughter of the minister of state?
We would like our laws to be unplaned, but if the laws are unplaned against only the weak plus vulnerable, then it amounts in order to selective justice.
And picky justice is injustice.
