Cash doubling adverts will be prohibited from 1st May – NFA

Chairman from the National Film Authority (NFA), Socrate Safo has mentioned from 1st May 2021 all unapproved and unclassified advertisements surrounding money practice or money doubling is going to be clamped down.
The chief revealed that taking impact from 1st May, this kind of businesses will be subjected to go through the offices of the Protection and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bank of Ghana (BoG) for a license to work in money doubling companies to run an advert to that particular effect.
Mr Socrate Safo stressed that businesses plus persons without license to work such businesses will be rejected with requests to get their particular contents broadcasted.
“If a person approach us with a plan and the content is about cash doubling, then we anticipate you to have such a permit.
If you are Mallam and you wish to double money all we have been requiring from you is to display us a license you have through the Security and Exchange Commission payment and the Bank of Ghana to operate as a money doubler. The chairman added the fact that law on classification had been set to be implemented within June last year but some more engagement with Ghana Independent Tv producers Association (GIBA) caused this to be delayed.
