Rapper Sarkodie has waded into the social networking campaign #FixTheCountry after a good avalanche of backlash through followers over his stop on the movement.
The multi-award-winning artiste reacted to the critique saying he supports the particular convenors and has always backed the cause for government liability “since the beginning of his profession through his music”.
Sarkodie in a lengthy post upon social media wrote: “I assistance both #FixTheCountry and #FixYourself but at this point, the government recieve more to do for citizens to solve themselves.
“If you repair the system then you can blame the folks 100% for not fixing by themselves and that’s why you are leaders.
“Fixing the country automatically fixes the folks. ”
The campaign was started by some youthful persons on Twitter yet attracted some celebrities which includes Efia Odo, DKB, David Dumelo and others.
Sarkodie, who else touted the NPP’s management in his song ‘Happy Day’, was conspicuously missing for. But he explained which he had remained silent mainly because his opinion has always been misunderstood for a political agenda.
“I know politicians and celebration followers intentionally politicize my estimation, even when they know it is the truth, to save their celebration thinking I’m attacking a specific party, ” he published.
“I don’t explain me personally because the people with political hearing and eyes will never acknowledge it and try to attack the submission and that has been our own biggest problem as a nation and that’s one of the main reason we are stagnant. “
