Gyakie recounts how she has been booed off stage being an upcoming musician

Setting out as being a new artiste in Ghana’s music industry is shrouded with many daunting challenges. With no hard work and perseverance, your dream of becoming a star may be easily dashed.
Ghanaian music feeling Jackline Acheampong, popularly generally known as Gyakie, shared a similar belief when she opened up regarding her early day being an upcoming musician.
The “Forever” singer recounted how the lady was once booed away stage at her own college, KNUST, at a Republic Corridor week concert three years back.
“I cried, I really cried when I went backstage since what I was going to do did not go the way I wanted, ” she said.
Gyakie described that she begged organisers of the 2019 Republic Corridor Week to perform at the live concert that was headlined by Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, La Meme Gang and other artistes.
Whilst still an upcoming artiste within 2019, Gyakie’s dream to acquire some attention to her craft in the concert before the main works arrive ended in holes after she was booed off stage when the audio system went off.
Gyakie proceeded to go of stage broken hearted. She revealed in an job interview that she cried the girl heart out after the encounter.
She added that a few of the students shouted at the girl to go away while some being sung along. She said the knowledge helped her build strength in her music profession.
