Aiming as a new artiste within Ghana’s music industry will be shrouded with many daunting difficulties. Without hard work and determination, one’s dream of becoming a celebrity can easily be dashed.
Ghanaian songs sensation Jackline Acheampong, commonly known as Gyakie, shared an identical sentiment when she became available about her early day time as an upcoming musician.
The particular “Forever” singer recounted just how she was once booed off stage at her very own university, KNUST, at a Republic Hall week concert 3 years ago.
“I cried, I absolutely cried when I went backstage because what I was going to perform didn’t go the way I needed, ” she said.
Gyakie explained that she begged organisers of the 2019 Republic Hall Week to perform in the concert that was headlined simply by Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, Una Meme Gang and other artistes.
While still an upcoming artiste in 2019, Gyakie’s aspire to get some attention to her write at the concert before the primary acts arrive ended within tears after she had been booed off stage once the sound system went off.
Gyakie went of stage damaged hearted. She revealed within an interview that she cried her heart out following the experience.
She added that will some of the students shouted on her to go away although some sung along. She mentioned the experience helped her construct resilience in her songs career.
