Healthcare student who died within Cuba wasn’t denied health care – Ayorkor Botchwey

Claims the second-year Ghanaian medical pupil who died in Cuba was abandoned and refused healthcare are not true, the particular Minister for Foreign Matters and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has said.
The particular death of Erasmus Klutse, a GNPC-sponsored scholar within Cuba, has seen their colleagues in that country increase serious concerns about their particular living conditions and feature his death to the deplorable conditions they live in.
Yet speaking during a visit by Cuban Ambassador to Ghana to the Ministry, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey lamented that social media marketing had been used to spread inconsistant reports about the death.
Based on her, the government and the Ministry did not receive the news associated with Erasmus’ death lightly.
“Because of social media, all kinds of details get into the public domain, in fact it is difficult to know what is the reality or otherwise. We received this news of the death of the 2nd-year student with a lot of issue but what is important is that he or she was not denied any medical assistance. That is very important and should be noted by all. ”
Meanwhile, the remains from the student would be flown returning to Ghana as soon as the ongoing autopsy is completed.
